Child Centered Play Therapy

Nicholasville Family Services offers several therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents. We offer Child Center Play Therapy which is one of the best ways for children to work through issues, build self esteem, and emotion skills. Play Therapy is for children ages 12 and under.

Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

We also offer Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, for those children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and need intentional and targeted intervention to move toward in their next step in healing. This is for those who struggle with significant anxiety/depression and PTSD from past experiences or witnessed trauma.

Filial Therapy

Filial Therapy is a chance for YOU to become skilled. You will learn, practice and implement Child Center Play techniques to utilize at home with your child. This will help build and strengthen attachment, connection and family bonds. The parent child relationship is important and crucial for ongoing health in development. Come learn a new way to engage, respond, and play with your child!

Couples Therapy

Your relationship with your partner is the most important and one that will set the tone of your home. You will never regret investing in each other! We offer several approaches to couples therapy, including Relational Enhancement Therapy, Prepare/Enrich and Premarital Counseling services.

Individuals

We offer services to individuals who are seeking hope, healing and health. You will find trusting mental health therapy to work through whatever has you stuck. We utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy  and Narrative therapy techniques to help support you through this process.
